Nosy Iranja is without a doubt the most spectacular destination around Nosy Be. The island lies about 50 kilometers to the southwest and at low tide is connected to the small neighboring island Nosy Iranja Kely by an almost two-kilometer-long white sand strip – a sight you won't find anywhere else in the world.

The crystal-clear water around the island is a true paradise for snorkelers. Sea turtles swim right beside you, colorful corals stretch beneath the surface, and occasionally dolphins make an appearance. In the fishing village on the island, a small community of Malagasy fishermen lives and is happy to give you insight into their lives.

With me as your local guide, you have the advantage of customizing this tour – whether a day trip, an overnight stay in the fishing village, or combined with another island stop. I speak German, English, French, and Italian and know the best snorkeling spots and the tides precisely.

The crossing from Nosy Be takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the boat. Best travel time: April to November.

Nosy Iranja doesn't have to be just a day trip. Those who want to stay longer can spend the night in the fishing village on the island – simple, authentic accommodation right by the sea. In the morning, before the day-trippers arrive, the island is all yours. For true adventurers, bivouac camping is even possible: tent or sleeping bag directly on the beach under Madagascar's starry sky. I organise accommodation, meals and all transfers individually on request.
